Storage Lockers Broken Into

On Tuesday Oct. 17th, 2017 at around 2:00 AM the LaSalle Police Communications Centre received a call regarding a Burglary in progress at the Self Storage facility located at 777 Front Road. LaSalle. The caller reported seeing two males in the area who maybe involved in the burglary. Officers were dispatched immediately and converged on the area. A thorough search was conducted for the suspects and some of the stolen property was found propped up against a fence nearby. Robbery

On October 12, 2017, around 4:30 AM a Robbery took place at the Mac’s Convenience store located at 2055 Heritage Drive.A white male possibly in his mid 20’s, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, medium build entered the store. He waited at the check out counter for the clerk to attend. Once the clerk arrived at the counter he demanded money from the clerk. Narcan Spray Issued to LPS Officers

The LaSalle Police Service has started issuing Narcan Intranasal Spray to it’s officers. Narcan is the brand name for Naloxone which is administered to a subject that is suspected of suffering an opioid overdose. The Narcan spray has been issued as a health and safety measure for LPS officers who may come in contact with an opioid and is not for use on members of the public at this time.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

On Thursday October 5, 2017 at 2:12 a.m. Officers were on general patrol in the area of Kevin Street and Mary Street. At this time, the officers observed a 2016 Dodge Caravan parked on the corner of Mary Street just north of Kevin Street. The vehicle stood out as it was parked away from the curb and slightly on an angle. Break and Enter Suspect Arrested

On Saturday Sept. 30th, just before 5:00 PM a resident in the area of Huron St. and Mayfair Ave heard the sound of glass shattering at a neighbour’s house. When they went to check, they discovered that the rear patio door had been smashed. The reporting person quickly called police to report the incident. Officers quickly converged in the area. They stopped a vehicle and arrested one of the occupants for a daytime Break & Enter. A 25 year old Amherstburg man has been charged with Break & Enter, and Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
