On April 30th, 2021 just after 3:00 pm, the LaSalle Police Service received a request to assist paramedics at a residence in the Town of LaSalle regarding a medical call involving injuries from a knife. Minutes after the initial call, officers arrived on scene and discovered that a fight had taken place between two brothers, both in their 30’s, who live at the same residence. The LaSalle Police Service regularly promotes bicycle safety through such initiatives as the annual LaSalle Police Service Bicycle Rodeo, the LaSalle Police Service Summer Safe Riding Program as well as incidental interaction with the community in an effort to teach children and parents safe riding practices. A 40-year-old, male, Windsor resident, was arrested just before 5:00 AM this morning for several criminal offences related to a break and enter to a LaSalle business. At this time, a LaSalle Police Officer was on general patrol when he noticed the male riding a bicycle, carrying a large box containing several packages of cigarettes. The officer stopped to investigate and found that he had several new lottery tickets in his possession as well. LaSalle Police Service Notice of Speed Regulated Zone In The Detroit River Through LaSalle As per Schedule 6 of the Vessel Operation Restriction Regulations, the area highlighted in yellow on the map below, identifies the portion of the Detroit River in the Town of LaSalle that is regulated by a speed limit for powered vessels. An adult female resident of LaSalle has been charged by the LaSalle Police Service with impaired driving and excess blood alcohol after she was stopped by police on Golfview Drive in LaSalle Thursday evening. The vehicle caught the officer’s attention after it made a number of manoeuvres that caused them to suspect that the driver may be impaired. While speaking with the driver, the officer made observations that further confirmed their suspicions. On April 3rd, just after 1:00 AM, LaSalle Police officers were called to the 300 block of Ramblewood Drive regarding some youths spray painting graffiti on a wooden privacy fence. This was the second incident of graffiti at that location, the first of which was reported on March 31st, 2021. The wooden fence, which is owned by the Town of LaSalle was erected a couple of weeks prior and leads from Ramblewood Drive to Ojibway Oaks Park. Case #’s 21-4198, 21-3801 LaSalle Police Service is investigating a second incident of vandalism to a motor vehicle which occurred April 5th, 2021 at approximately 1:30 PM. The vehicle, a white Ford Mustang, was parked in the lot at Malden Square Plaza when a male was observed puncturing all four of its tires. The male left prior to being confronted by the owner of the vehicle. Police were called to the scene and checked the area for the culprit. The suspect was described as an older male who was wearing a blue coat, jeans, brown shoes and a medical mask.
