Unidentified Body of Deceased Male Located in Detroit River in LaSalle

Case# LA21-5992 On Sunday, May 30th, 2021 just before 10:30 AM, LaSalle Police Service was contacted by a boater after discovering a body of a person in the LaSalle Channel of the Detroit River.  The body was found at the surface of the water along the eastern shore of Fighting Island near the LaSalle boat launch.  LaSalle Police Service, LaSalle Fire Service and the Ontario Provincial Police Service Marine Unit quickly attended the area to recover the body. Police Asking Public Assistance in Identifying Persons in Relation to a Theft of a Riding Lawn Mower

Case # 2021-5326 The LaSalle Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two males and a vehicle involved in the theft of a red riding lawn mower from a residence in the 2600 block of Front Road on May 8th, 2021 between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM.  They were seen in a yellow older model vehicle similar to a late ’60s early 70’s Pontiac GTO or LeMans, pulling a trailer. Windsor PS and LaSalle PS Joint Forces Traffic Enforcement Project

Motor Vehicle Collision – Fail to Remain at Boat Ramp

Case # 21-5625 A grey Chevrolet Cruz was parked in the lot at the Town of LaSalle boat ramp on Laurier on May 17th between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. When the owner returned to the vehicle they noticed that there was extensive damage to the passenger’s side headlight, passenger side front hood and fender. It was obvious that the vehicle was struck by another vehicle and the owner decided to report the matter to police. An adult male was arrested without incident today at a residence in the 1300 block of Carriage Lane in LaSalle. Officers from the LaSalle Police Service collaborated with the Ontario Provincial Police R.O.P.E. (Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement), and the Windsor Police Service in a criminal investigation which resulted in the arrest this afternoon. Shoplifting Arrest Results is Assault on Loss Prevention Officer

A 60-year-old female from Windsor is facing charges of theft under $5000.00 and assault with intent to resist arrest after a shoplifting incident turned violent.
