LaSalle Male Issued Three Day Driver’s Licence Suspension
An adult male from LaSalle was issued a three-day driver’s licence suspension just before 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25th for having a blood-alcohol level of more than 50 mgs while operating a motor vehicle. A LaSalle Police Officer stopped the GMC pickup on Normandy Street and could smell alcohol from within the vehicle. A test was administered to determine the driver’s blood alcohol concentration after which he was issued with the suspension. His driver’s licence was seized and suspended for three days. An adult male from Windsor was issued a summons for Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Speeding after driving his 2011 Hyundai 100 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone on Front Road, on Friday, September 24th, at 4:45 a.m. A LaSalle Police Officer was conducting radar traffic enforcement in the area when they observed the Hyundai approaching at a high rate of speed. The LaSalle Police Service has arrested and charged 32 year old, Cody Carrington of Windsor in relation to a robbery that took place at CIBC Bank on Malden Road in LaSalle on Saturday, September 18th, 2021. The accused is charged with Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Breach of Probation in relation to this incident and was held for a bail hearing to answer to the charges. After a meticulous and thorough investigation, Officers were able to identify, locate and arrest the accused without incident.

LaSalle Police Investigate Robbery at CIBC Bank, Malden Road.
The LaSalle Police Service is investigating a robbery that took place at CIBC Bank on Malden Road in LaSalle on Saturday Morning. At about 9:45 a.m. a male entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded the cash. The teller complied and handed over a sum of money after which he promptly left the area on a bicycle but witnesses were not able to see which direction he went. Motorists Urged to Use Caution as Our Students Head Back to School on September 7th
The LaSalle Police Service would like to welcome all of our students back to school. Motorists are reminded to be extra cautious as our students, pedestrians, crossing guards and buses will be present on our streets and sidewalks on their way to and from school as of September 7th. Last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the walking distances for elementary school students from grade 1 -8 increased to 1.5 km and secondary school students to 3.2 km/h, meaning that the affected students who live within that distance from the school were not eligible for busing services.
