Driver Arrested During R.I.D.E. Program For Exceeding Legal Limit of Alcohol

During the evening of Wednesday, March 29, 2023, the LaSalle Police Service’s Traffic Enforcement Unit officers conducted a mobile and stationary R.I.D.E. Program within various locations in the Town of LaSalle. The officers stopped and investigated over 175 motor vehicles and conducted four roadside alcohol screening tests. Three of the drivers and motor vehicles passed and were cleared. A 43-year-old male was arrested and charged with exceeding over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood after he was stopped and questioned at the R.I.D.E. Program checkpoint. Arson Suspect Sought

Case# 23-783 The LaSalle Police Service is continuing an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a residential fire at 1077 Reaume Road, LaSalle that occurred in the early morning hours of January 29th, 2023. During the investigation, video surveillance footage was later obtained and upon review, investigators observed a person wearing what appears to be a light-coloured jacket exiting a minivan near the residence and entering the property shortly before the fire was reported. LaSalle Police Investigating Theft of a Motor Vehicle

A 2022 Dodge Ram Pickup Truck was stolen overnight from a residence in the 8800 block of Howard Avenue in LaSalle. The truck is described as white with four doors, chrome handles, chrome trim and a trifold leather tonneau cover. The suspect was observed committing the crime on a nearby surveillance system and is described as a light-skinned male, approximately six feet tall with a medium build and dark thick eyebrows.
