The person attended a pharmacy on Malden Road, LaSalle and made a purchase at the self-checkout but failed to scan all of the unpaid merchandise in their possession and left the store without paying for some of the items. LaSalle Police Service Investigates Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision on Front Road

Report # 23-4539 The LaSalle Police Service is continuing to investigate a fatal single motor vehicle collision that occurred in the 2400 block of Front Road, Friday morning at about 1:48 AM. As a result of the collision, the driver, a 59-year-old, male, Amherstburg resident, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The LaSalle Police Collision Reconstruction Team kept Front Road closed until 7:30 AM as they collected evidence and documented the scene. Thirty-Eight Charges Laid During Joint Forces Focus On Commercial Vehicles

On June 6th, 2023, the LaSalle Police Service hosted a joint forces initiative throughout Essex County led by the Ministry of Transportation along with members of the OPP and Windsor police. The initiative focused on commercial vehicle/truck/trailer inspections and making our roadways safer for everyone. Brush Fire at Brunet Park Sparks Investigation

LaSalle Fire Service and LaSalle Police Service responded to a brush fire in Brunet Park at approximately 12:30 pm today. The investigation is ongoing as to the cause of the fire but it is suspected to have been deliberately set. Police received information that a group of young males were seen quickly leaving the area in an older silver hatchback after starting the fire in a brush park area. LaSalle Fire Service was able to quickly extinguish the fire preventing extensive damage and there were no injuries reported as a result. Rental Housing Fraud Suspect Arrested Case #23-4035 On Wednesday, May 31st, the LaSalle Police Service received information about a potential home rental fraud. Officers were informed that two groups of people attended the same residence at the same time to move in and had already paid the “landlord” first and last month’s rent. Through investigation, a third tenant, who had also paid the first and last month’s rent for the same residence, was identified.
