LaSalle Police – RIDE Program October 20th

During the evening of Friday, October 20, 2023, the LaSalle Police Service conducted a RIDE Progam at various locations in the Town of LaSalle. The officers stopped and investigated approximately 250 motor vehicles and conducted 4 roadside sobriety tests. No suspensions or charges were laid for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. The LaSalle Police Service will continue to educate and inform the public of the consequences of driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs and will conduct R.I.D.E. For the last 14 summers, LaSalle Police Officers have engaged in a positive ticketing campaign called LaSalle Police Service Annual Summer Safe Cycling Program. LaSalle Police Investigating Arson to Vehicle

Report #23-8041 The LaSalle Police Service is investigating an arson of a vehicle in the 7200 block of Malden Road that occurred just before 2 AM on Wednesday, October 11th. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage of the incident and confirm that at least two individuals deliberately set the fire. Further video analysis is being done to ascertain a better description of the culprits.
