The LaSalle Police Service responded to a report of a person attempting to break into a home in the 3500 block of Donato Drive at 3:45 a.m., Thursday morning.
The reporting person immediately contacted police after they were awakened by a noise and observed a person trying to enter through their patio door. The suspect fled on foot after being startled by the homeowner and officers arrived on scene within minutes of the call to investigate. The suspect was not located and police believe that they left the area in a vehicle that was waiting in the 7000 block of Disputed Road. The only description of the suspect was a male who was wearing a black hoodie.
Police are asking residents in the area to check their video surveillance to determine if they captured any footage of this incident.
