Search Warrant at LaSalle Residence Results in Drug Seizure and Arrests
Case#: 2021-10135 Three persons have been arrested for drug-related offences at a LaSalle residence after an ongoing investigation led by the LaSalle Police Service Criminal Investigations Unit. In November 2021, the LaSalle Police Service Criminal Investigations Unit launched an investigation into the suspected trafficking and possession of illicit drugs at a residence located on Abbott Street in LaSalle. Judicial Authorization to search the residence on Abbott Street was applied for and granted. Vehicle Stolen From LaSalle Business
Occurrence 21-10812 A white, 2021 Ford F150 was stolen from a business in the 5500 block of Huron Church Line in LaSalle overnight. The theft of the vehicle, which occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. December 15th, 2021, was captured on surveillance video and is being investigated by police. The thief removed the vehicle from a locked, fenced compound by breaking the fence and driving out. The keys were contained within the vehicle. A second vehicle, an older Ford F250, was parked nearby on Broderick and is believed to be involved. The culprits returned to the second vehicle at 5:45 a.m.

The LaSalle Police Service has become aware of a social media post(s) with relation to alleged abuse at a local day-care which has caused a community concern. As a result the LaSalle Police Service has fielded a large number of inquiries which we have addressed on an individual basis. On November 29th, the LaSalle Police Service entered into an investigation in relation to these allegations. Windsor Male Receives Second Charge of Stunt Driving For Speeding Within Two Months
An adult male from Windsor will have to answer to the courts why he was operating his vehicle at 121 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone on Sprucewood Avenue in LaSalle on Sunday Morning. At approximately 10:30 a.m., a LaSalle Police officer observed the vehicle travelling at an extremely high rate of speed on Sprucewood. His vehicle’s speed was recorded on the police mobile radar unit at 121 km/h which is 71 km/h over the posted speed limit along this residential roadway. Windsor Female Issued Three Day Driver’s Licence Suspension
An adult female from Windsor was issued a 3-day driver’s licence suspension after registering over 50 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood on a roadside screening device. On Saturday, November 27th, just after 1:30 a.m. a LaSalle Police Officer stopped a vehicle on Front Road in LaSalle and spoke with the female driver. During their interaction, the officer detected the odour of alcohol and made other observations that led them to believe that the driver had consumed alcohol. Attempted Use of Counterfeit U.S. Currency at Local Shop
The LaSalle Police Service is warning the public and businesses to be vigilant when receiving U.S. currency after an investigation where a counterfeit U.S. $10.00 bill was attempted to be used to make a purchase at a local restaurant. The suspect, a white male, who was described as appearing to be between 20 and 30 years of age and approximately 5’4″ tall, produced the counterfeit bill from a large stack of other U.S. currency to the clerk to pay his bill. Sandwich Secondary School Placed in Brief Hold and Secure Status
Sandwich Secondary School was placed in a brief hold and secure after LaSalle Police Service received a report that a young male, who is not a student at the school, allegedly attended the school parking lot with a firearm. Officers immediately attended the school to investigate and learned that an argument between two groups of people had taken place in the parking lot of the school. A student who was not involved reported the incident to the principal and stated that they overheard that one of the involved males possibly had a firearm.
