A severely damaged Toyota Corolla was discovered approximately 10 meters off the roadway in the 700 block of Highway 18 just before 3:00 a.m. on Friday by LaSalle Police Officers who were on patrol. It was apparent that the vehicle had just been involved in a serious collision and officers quickly began to investigate. Adult Male Arrested After Single-Vehicle Collision

Occurrence #22-4618 A young adult male from LaSalle is facing criminal charges after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a utility pole at Malden Road and Sprucewood Avenue late Monday night. Through investigation, officers determined that the driver was operating a motor vehicle with more than 2 times the legal limit of alcohol in his system. The driver was not seriously injured however the vehicle was demolished as a result of the collision. Thankfully no one else was in the vehicle at the time. Concerning Graffiti at Sandwich Secondary Prompts Response From LaSalle Police

On Thursday, June 9th, Sandwich Secondary School Officials notified the LaSalle Police Service of some concerning graffiti written on a bathroom stall in one of their student washrooms. Police immediately began an investigation and are working with school officials on the matter and are reviewing surveillance cameras at this time. LaSalle Police Service will have an increased presence at the school to ensure everyone’s safety and are actively seeking to identify the culprit. Arrest Made After Brief Stand-Off

A LaSalle Police Crisis Negotiator and excellent teamwork were key to the peaceful outcome of a criminal investigation in LaSalle this evening. On Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 just before 6:30 PM, LaSalle Police Service received a call regarding threats to cause death after a male at a residence in the 300 block of Bouffard Road threatened another person, allegedly with a firearm. The ETR tracks run through LaSalle from Highway 18 to Malden Road. The tracks and the property adjacent to the tracks are private property, owned by the ETR and posted as no trespassing. The LaSalle Police Service will be holding its 25th annual bicycle rodeo on Saturday, June 4th, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex with the assistance of Bike Windsor Essex. The event will be held outside in the semi-circle drop-off zone near the main entrance of the complex. The bicycle rodeo aims to teach safe cycling skills to children aged 15 and under.
