Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
An adult male is facing a criminal charge of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle after performing a number of “burnouts” in a residential neighbourhood.

Just after 9:00 PM, LaSalle Police Service received multiple calls about the vehicle performing “burnouts” in the 200 block of International Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was applying the brakes and revving the engine in such a way that the rear wheels would lose traction with the roadway and driveway which caused a lot of noise and smoke in the area. The driver had performed this action for an extended period of time which caused the rear tires, and melted rubber deposited onto the driveway, to catch fire. LaSalle Police Service and LaSalle Fire Service attended the scene and could smell a heavy odour of burnt rubber in the air but the fire had already been extinguished. They observed multiple dark tire markings on the roadway and in the driveway of a nearby residence. As a result if the investigation into the matter an adult male resident of the Town of LaSalle has been arrested and charged with the criminal offence of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and has a pending court date.
