A 54-year-old male resident of Windsor is facing several criminal charges after police responded to a domestic disturbance call, just before 3:30 a.m. on November 2nd, 2022. As officers arrived in the area the male fled in his vehicle. Officers recognized the male who was in violation of his court-ordered conditions and attempted to use a tire deflation device to stop him from fleeing. The male continued to drive away and LaSalle Police Officers used their police vehicles to coordinate a tactical maneuver bringing the suspect’s vehicle to a controlled stop. During this maneuver, the male’s vehicle collided into the leading police vehicle causing minor damage.
The male driver became assaultive toward the officers during the arrest. He was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing. As a result of his actions, he is now facing the following criminal charges:
– Fail to comply with undertaking
– Flight from peace officer
– Dangerous operation of a conveyance
– Resist arrest
He was also issued a three day drivers licence suspension for having more than 50 mgs of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood.
