On May 5, 2019, officers were in the area of Morton and Ojibway parkway when they came upon a motor vehicle collision. Officers met with the drivers who surrendered their drivers licences. One of the involved drivers exhibited several symptoms of impairment and was subsequently arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. They were transported to the LaSalle Police station for further breath tests. The results of the tests were that the drivers blood alcohol level was well above the legal limits. The drivers vehicle was impounded for 7 days, drivers licence suspended automatically for 90 days and was released on a promise to appear in court to answer to the charges of Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle and Having More Than 80 mgs of alcohol per 100 milliters of blood.
