In a remarkable display of community spirit, the LaSalle Police Service, in collaboration with the Town of LaSalle, joined forces with the Salvation Army Windsor for a dual initiative— a food drive and men’s coat donation drive at Zehrs on Malden Road in LaSalle on Saturday, January 27, 2024. The collaborative effort aimed to provide support to the Salvation Army Windsor Food Bank and the Salvation Army Windsor Men’s Shelter.

Members of the LaSalle PoliceService and dedicated individuals from the Town of LaSalle worked hand in hand with the Salvation Army Windsor, ensuring a seamless execution of the initiative. The event also received invaluable assistance from a student volunteer from Saint Clair College and École Secondaire Lajeunesse.

The response from the community surpassed all expectations, with an overwhelming outpouring of donations of food, cash, gift cards and men’s coats. The collective generosity of our community has once again proven that when we come together, remarkable achievements are possible.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to each and every individual who contributed to this cause. Your unwavering support is sincerely appreciated, and it undoubtedly makes a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.
