Driving Complaints
Over the past week, the LaSalle Police Service have received multiple calls reporting driving complaints. These consist of, erratic/dangerous driving, excessive speeding and unnecessary noise coming from mufflers or revving engines. Traffic has been increasing on our local roadways since the loosening of COVID-19 restrictions in the province. We continue to ask that you don’t take any extra space on the roadways for granted or as a reason to speed or drive aggressively. There are too many reasons to list why, however the laws under the Highway Traffic Act are not meant to punish, but rather serve as rules and guidelines to keep us all safe. We have received complaints of speeding vehicles and aggressive driving on a number of roads and we are very aware that this can occur on any road. Our officers continuously patrol our streets, keeping us safe and are always on the lookout for those who choose to ignore the rules of the road. We’d love to meet you, just not for this reason. Please do not speed or drive aggressively…anywhere. Drive safely everyone.
Direct Patrols have been created for these areas and the LaSalle Police Service are monitoring all of these areas closely.
