R.I.D.E. Program

On Saturday, March 16th, LaSalle Police Officers conducted a R.I.D.E. Program in the Town of LaSalle. R.I.D.E. is an acronym for Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere. Over the course of the evening, the Officers conducted multiple sobriety checks which resulted in two, three-day license suspensions. The drivers’ licenses were seized and destroyed, and both drivers found alternate forms of transportation home. LaSalle Police urges you to drink responsibly. If you decide to consume alcohol or smoke marijuana, please do not get behind the wheel.

There are many alternatives to driving impaired, here are some options but are not limited to:
– Arrange for a sober friend or family member to be your Designated Driver
– Cruise Control (a Designated Driver Service that will drive you and your vehicle home) 519-252-6766
– Veteran’s Cab 519-256-2621
– Use the Uber app.
