RIDE Program

On September 13, 2019, LaSalle Police Service conducted a RIDE program on Malden Rd at Todd Lane. The officers observed an odour of alcohol on the breath of two drivers. A sample of the drivers’ breath was obtained utilizing an Alcohol Screening Device which indicated the drivers were each operating a motor vehicle with more than the legal limit of alcohol for which their individual licence classes permit. Both driver’s were issued 3 day license suspensions and accordingly, their driver’s licenses were seized and returned to the MTO.
As a reminder, “Novice” driver’s are to have zero alcohol in their systems when driving a vehicle.
