The Town of LaSalle has an immediate need for Substitute – School Crossing Guards.

The Town of LaSalle currently employs sixteen part time School Crossing Guards who are positioned at various strategic locations throughout the community to assist grade school students safely across busier streets.

When one of the part time School Crossing Guards must be absent, a substitute School Crossing Guard will fill in for them during their absence as needed.

School Crossing Guards generally work for one hour in the morning at the beginning of school and one hour in the afternoon at the end of school, Monday through Friday during the school year.

There is the possibility of obtaining a permanent part time position as other School Crossing Guards retire.

The rate of pay is currently $15.48 per hour.  Interested applicants must obtain a vulnerable sector police clearance from their local police service and be physically capable of fulfilling the duties of the position.  This position also requires standing for up to one hour and working in all types of weather.
