On December 3, 2019, In the early morning hours of December 3, 2019, a LaSalle Police Officer stopped a motor vehicle for the speeding. During the interaction with the driver the officer made observations that gave him reasonable grounds to believe that the he had consumed a quantity of alcohol prior to operating his motor vehicle. The driver was demanded to provide a breath sample to which he complied. Following a roadside breath sample, the results confirmed his suspicions. The male driver was served with a 3 day license suspension and a ticket for speeding 34 km/h above the posted speed limit. The driver’s vehicle was removed from the roadway by a tow truck who also dropped the male off at his residence as a courtesy. Due to regulations from the Ministry of Transportation, his seized driver’s license was destroyed. Although no fine exists for this matter, the driver must pay a reinstatement fee to the Ministry of Transportation in the amount of $281.00. Please don’t drink and drive!
