Suspect Charged with Possession of Drugs, Stolen Motorcycle

On Tuesday, August 15, 2017 just before 5:00 PM, Windsor Police Service – Communication Centre provided information to the LaSalle Police Service regarding a stolen motorcycle.
LaSalle Police Service – Communication Centre was advised that an unknown person had just stolen a motorcycle from St. Clair College and was headed into LaSalle.
LaSalle Police officers quickly converged to the area and located the suspect stopped at the XTR Gas Station located at Huron Church Road and Disputed Rd. The man who had stolen the motorcycle was quickly arrested and handcuffed, before he could get back on the motorcycle and flee the area.
When the suspect was searched subsequent to the arrest, officers located a number of “baggies” containing illegal narcotics on him; which included several grams of Marijuana, Cannabis Resin, MDMA, Cocaine and almost 90 grams of Methamphetamine.
The suspect was already on previous charges for possession of controlled substances and had been released on an Undertaking with several conditions. Clearly he was not abiding by these conditions.
A 35 year old Windsor man has been charged by LaSalle Police Service with several offences including possession of stolen property and was held in jail for a bail hearing.
As a result of the quick actions by LaSalle Police officers, a stolen motorcycle was quickly recovered and a significant amount of narcotics were taken off the streets.
