Tips on how to prevent a car break in
1. Lock the doors and close the windows. Don’t make it easy for a thief to break in
2. Don’t leave your car running
3. Park in well lit areas
4. Hide any valuables
5. Invest in an anti-theft system if your car didn’t come equipped with one
6. Understand that thefts from vehicles are crimes of opportunity. Thieves generally look for the easiest target (unlocked door) with the least chance of detection (cover of darkness / late night or early morning hours).

LaSalle Police wish to take this opportunity once again to remind residents to Lock it or Lose it!
