On November 28, 2019, Early in the morning a male came to the LaSalle Police Service lobby and advised officers that his car was broken into over night. The vehicle had been parked in his driveway in the 1500 block of Durocher Drive, LaSalle. He reported that the items taken from within his vehicle included: his wallet, containing his driver’s licence, Ontario Health Card, payment cards and other forms of ID, vehicle documents, black Ray Ban sunglasses, prescription glasses and black Oakley backpack containing yoga sportswear. The complainant had already contacted his credit card companies and locked his credit card accounts to prevent anyone from using the credit cards. He was unable to contact the bank for his debit card. The reporting person was able to see, via on-line banking, that his card had been used at a number of retail locations in the Town of LaSalle and the City of Windsor. The male provided the officer with the transaction information to enable the officer to follow up with the businesses that the suspect attended.
