Threat to St. Thomas of Villanova High School Reported to LaSalle Police

On Wednesday, November 10th, 2021 in the late afternoon, officials from St. Thomas of Villanova High School contacted the LaSalle Police Service to report that they were made aware of a verbal threat directed toward the school. Police officers investigated the matter and spoke with the involved persons. After the investigation Wednesday evening, police determined that there was no credible threat to public safety or to the school, students or staff, however as a precaution, LaSalle Police officers attended the school at the start of the school day on Thursday morning without incident.

School officials take any threats seriously and will always contact police to report the threat. After the police had concluded their investigation school administration sent notifications to school staff and the entire school community about the issue via voice messaging last evening.

No charges have been laid at this time.
