The LaSalle Police Service has issued a Staples, Ontario man a three day drivers licence suspension after he registered over 50 mgs of alcohol per 100 milligrams of blood while operating a motor vehicle.
On Monday, February 8th, 2022 just before 1:00 a.m., Police received a complaint related to a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driving excessively slow and revving its engine on Highway 18 in LaSalle. Officers located the vehicle and while speaking with the driver, suspected that they had consumed alcohol. A roadside test confirmed their suspicion and the driver’s licence was suspended.
Anyone issued with this type of suspension must attend Service Ontario, once the suspension is complete, to have their driver’s licence reinstated for a fee of $281.00.
