UPDATE – LaSalle Police Service Investigating Shooting on Eastbourne Avenue, LaSalle

The LaSalle Police Service is continuing to investigate after an adult male was injured when he was shot at a residence in the 1000 block of Eastbourne Avenue, LaSalle just before 8:00 PM, on December 7th. The injury did not appear to be life threatening and the victim is expected to fully recover. The unknown suspect(s) fled the scene and has not yet been located or identified.

LaSalle Police investigators are appealing to the public for information about a vehicle of interest that was seen in the area around the time of the incident. The vehicle in question appears to be a black mid-size car with a loud exhaust and a burnt out passenger headlight. It is unknown at this time if this vehicle was involved however police are asking the public not to approach this vehicle as the occupants may be armed and dangerous. If possible, write down the licence plate number and the location of the vehicle and contact police immediately.

The LaSalle Police Service believes that this may have been a targeted incident and does not believe that there is any ongoing threat to public safety. This is a very active investigation and further details may be released at a future time.
