Earlier this week, LaSalle Police were dispatched to the area of Bouffard Road for the report of suspicious vehicle. A vehicle had been parked and left unattended for two days. The responding officers discovered that the license plates on the abandoned vehicle were reported stolen from Windsor. The vehicle itself had numerous documents with various addresses on them and it appeared that the documents may have been stolen during other thefts. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle also had been reported stolen from Lakeshore, ON. In similar fashion, there were several instances this past week of vehicles being entered and various articles stolen from unlocked vehicles. In three such instances, the keys were left in the vehicle and the vehicles were stolen. This is an ongoing problem in our area and one that can be easily remedied by all of us simply locking our vehicle doors and bringing the keys with us. #LockItUpLaSalle!
