On July 23, 2019, officers were requested to attend a residence on Laurier Drive for reports of a break and enter. Officers learned that the homeowner and their child had left for an appointment around 8:30 am and forgot to lock the door. Upon returning approximately an hour later the reporting person began to look for an item in their residence. During this search they noticed that several things were out of place and realized the residence had been entered while they were away. Police were able to quickly discover the identity of the culprit. All of the items were recovered and have been returned to the owner. The officers continue to investigate and an appropriate resolution will be sought. The homeowner has requested no charges be laid and simply wanted their property back.
