On October 26, 2019, in the early morning hours the LaSalle Police received a 911 call, in which they received no voice contact. After determining the location from which the call was made, police attended the scene. It was discovered that the officers were called due to a loud noise that had occurred from a neighbouring property, and the neighbour had appeared stating that her house was being illegally entered. The back door had been kicked in. After speaking with witnesses and neighbours it was discovered that the suspect was possibly known to the homeowner. The homeowner refused to talk to the officers in any capacity and would not identify the potential culprit. They were given a place to stay for the the remainder of the night and the neighbours helped to secure the back entrance. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information should call LaSalle Police Service 519-969-5210 or Crime Stoppers at https://www.catchcrooks.com/ 519 258-8477.
