On Sunday, October 27th, at approximately 3:00 am, a LaSalle Police officer came upon a vehicle that had been involved in a minor single vehicle collision where it slid into a ditch. The driver of the vehicle had been consuming alcoholic beverages and was demanded to provide a breath sample into a roadside alcohol screening device. The male registered above 50 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood resulting in a three day drivers licence suspension. His drivers licence was seized and destroyed at the request of the Ministry of Transportation. The vehicle was towed from the scene at the registered owners request. Unfortunately, the driver was more upset at the police for suspending his drivers licence and blamed them for his predicament rather than taking responsibility for his actions and making better decisions. Please, if you drink or smoke, don’t drive.
