On September 22, 2019, a male attended LaSalle Police Service to report a suspicious circumstance. The man had returned home from work to find a red, yellow and green arrow stuck vertically in to his front yard. The complainant was concerned that the arrow had been discharged without regard for public safety. Discharging a crossbow or bow is prohibited in LaSalle, as stated in By-Law No. 5304 “No person shall discharge any gun or other firearm, air-gun, spring-gun, cross bow, long bow or any class or type thereof within the limits of the Town of LaSalle.” It is careless, dangerous and could potentially lead to a criminal charge of Criminal Negligence depending on the circumstances.
