On September 3, 2019, a resident of Superior Street contacted the police to report a suspicious circumstance that had occurred on August 8th. They advised that a male in his early to mid 20’s attended their residence, verbally identifying himself as an employee of Cogeco. He was wearing a Cogeco shirt and carrying a clip board. The male knocked on the door and requested to come inside to do an inspection of their home as a Cogeco employee. The homeowners did not subscribe to Cogeco so access was denied and the suspect left on foot after failing to provide identification upon request. Also, most importantly, it was not reported to Police until almost a month after the occurrence. A note to LaSalle residents: the best time to report anything suspicious is when it is happeningor as soon as possible afterward.
