On Friday March 8th, 2019, the LaSalle Police Service received a call regarding a pickup that was driving erratically. LaSalle Police officers intercepted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Laurier Drive at Front Road. Upon approach to the driver’s window , the officer immediately smelled the odour of alcohol . The officer demanded the driver to provide a sample of his breath into roadside screening device. A proper breath sample was obtained and the driver registered above 50 mgs of alcohol per 100 ml of blood on the roadside screening device. As a result the driver was issued a three day licence suspension. The driver was also cited for other Highway Traffic Act offences..
